The Naked Craze!
I'm sure that everyone has heard of the new naked craze in makeup! I personally don't think that its anything to new just neutral color makeup in pretty new packaging. Urban Decay in my opinion has been one of the main brands responsible for this push towards neutral or toned down makeup. With the launch of a complete naked brand featuring Naked Skin liquid foundation, Naked Skin BB Cream, Naked nail polish as well as the ultra successful Naked 1, Naked 2, and the Naked Basics eyeshadow palette,a Naked lip junkie lip gloss, a Naked lip liner and also a a Naked blush palette. Urban Decay has basically corned the marked on the " Naked Look."
Now in my personal makeup arsenal I have all of the Naked eyeshawdow palettes. In my personal opinion they are excellent! The original Naked 1 palette which consists of 12 shades virgin, sin,naked,sidecar,buck, half-baked, smog, darkhorse, toasted, hustle,creep and gunmetal. The Naked 2 palette consists of again 12 shades foxy,half-baked, booty-call,chopper,tease,snakebite,suspect,pistol,verve,ydk,busted and blackout.The majority of the Naked1and Naked 2 shades are shimmery. The Naked basics palette is a little smaller with 5 matte shades and 1 satin finish the shades are venus,foxy,w.o.s., naked 2, faint, and crave. I think that all of the shades are buttery soft and blend out smoothly. All of the shades also have nice color payoff. Yes they actually show up on us brown girls just saying! These palettes could have a better mix of matte and shimmery shades. And I think the basics palette would be a little better with more dark skintone shades.The packaging for the first two palettes is a little bulky but the basics palette is on the money, its slimmer which is easier for storage and travel.
So overall I would say yes I am down with the Naked Trend! I love all of the Urban Decay Naked products that I have purchased. They are quality eyeshadows that I would repurchase!I have even bought the eyeshadow palettes has gifts for friends and family!I hope to purchase the Naked skin foundation as well as the Naked blush palette!
